Description
A welding Clamp Meter can help you check the amps and volts of your welds, overcoming measurement inaccuracy and provide a high level of confidence in your welds.
To reduce the risk of welds failing in service due to poor mechanical properties and / or weld defects it is important that welders follow a welding procedure. Once a welding procedure is developed it is redundant unless someone is checking to ensure it is followed. Whilst most welding machines have gauges, a lot of these are in accurate.
Measurement features include:
- AC/DC Current
- AC/DC Voltage
- Resistance
- Frequency
- Capacitance
- Temperature
- Diode
- Continuity
- 1ms Fast Peak Hold
- True RMS
The EX730 Clamp Meter is well designed with a double moulded housing for better grip and one-handed operation and the Large LCD display with bright backlighting.
It has a data hold facility that “freezes” data on display to allow you to capture it.
This unit has a ‘K’ type probe so you can check preheat and inter run temperatures making it very versatile. It comes complete with test leads, 9V battery and Type K bead wire probe (EH720, EH730) and carrying case.
